The Pyramid of Training Classical Dressage
is emphasized at Centre Line Stables - rhythm, suppleness,
contact, impulsion, straightness
and collection. The goal is to enhance harmony and balance between the
horse and rider. The Training Scale contributes to your horse’s
training if you visualize it as a pyramid, with Rhythm at the base,
and every layer built upon the other. Some of the elements of the
training scale are integrated together, such as ‘Relaxation’ being
part of or leading to ‘Rhythm’, or ‘Looseness’ as a synonym for
‘Suppleness’.
At Centre Line Stables the philosophy is to treat each horse and rider
as individuals and we also believe in offering some diversity to our
clients, including pole and cavelletti work, lunge lessons and free
jumping.
